Things To Do In Clearwater
By Robert Lipply

While visiting Clearwater, FL or even if you have lived here for years, you may start asking yourself, “What is there to do around town?” The answer is everything! Clearwater is a great city to be in. If you enjoy a day of leisurely shopping, stop by the Clearwater Mall. This location was recently remodeled and features lots of shops that you can just park near and walk right in. If you prefer an indoor shopping experience, don’t miss Westfield Countryside Mall. This large facility offers stores such as Macy’s, Dillard’s, Ann Taylor Loft and more.

If you enjoy a day by the water, don’t miss the very popular Clearwater Beach. This tropical getaway is a great place to enjoy the Florida sunshine. Play at Pier 60 during the day on the playground, and at night, there are street performers, musicians and so much more. Many hotels in this area offer live bands and entertainment that are open to guests or the public. If you enjoy a day on the water, the Clearwater Marina offers jet ski rentals, charter fishing, and boating excursions. And don’t miss all of the great seafood dining, this beach has to offer. Crabby Bill’s is an informal restaurant with great seafood at an affordable price. For something a little more formal, Island Way Grill and The Beachcomber restaurant, can’t be beat!

Coachman Park is located off Drew St. and offers seasonal events. Don’t miss the fantastic fireworks display for the 4th of July, Holiday Jazz Festival, or Christmas Under The Oaks Art Festival. If you have children, they will love the pool facility at the Morningside Recreation Complex. This pool has a separate area designed for small children and a large water slide for older youth.

If you are looking for something to do, Clearwater is the place to be. The city is filled with sensational dining, beautiful beaches, and friendly people!
